Charity Goh

Charity Goh is currently a final year scholarship student in UCSI University’s Institute of Music, pursuing a Bachelor of Classical Music (Hons) degree majoring in classical voice under the tutelage of Ashley Tan Hoong Peng. During her undergraduate studies, she was selected by the university to participate in a voice masterclass conducted by Maria Elena Vargas in March 2020. She was also invited to sing the Malaysian national anthem, ‘Negaraku’ for the CCI France Malaysia Gala Dinner in April 2019. She performed with the East Meets West chamber group in their inaugural concert tour to Sarawak in 2019. 

As an active chorus member, Charity performed Mendelssohn’s Elijah in 2016 and Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis in D in 2017 with the Yin Qi Choir and Orchestra. Together with the UCSI Chamber Choir, she performed in the productions of Mozart’s Requiem, Ola Bola: Movie with Live Music and Orff’s Carmina Burana with Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in Dewan Filharmonik Petronas in 2016, 2017 and 2018. The choir has also participated in the 13th China International Chorus Festival, the 5th Vietnam International Choir Competition and the 1st Taipei International Choral Competition, and won a Gold award and two Silver awards.
