Christine Tan

Christine Tan Thiam Yun, born and raised in Kuala Lumpur gained her interest in music through singing in church’s Children Choir.  She graduated from Stamford College in Executive Secretarial-ship in 2006, and decided to further pursue her passion and dream in music teaching and learning.  She completed her Diploma in Music with Malaysian Institute of Art in December 2016, majoring in classical vocal under the tutelage of Mr. Joshua Gui.

She is an active member of the Malaysian Institute of Art Ladies Chorus, participating in many performances such as Gustave Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 together with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra at Dewan Philharmonic on October 2014, Ladies Chorus’ 10th Anniversary Celebration Concert at Damansara Performing Art Centre on August 2015 and many more.

Additionally, she has obtained her Australian Kodaly Certificate – Primary Level 1 in Music Education (Dec 2016) and pursuing her Primary Level 2 by end of 2017.
