Brandon Wong graduated from the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) in 2004 he worked as a voice teacher in Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, he had been actively participating in a semi-pro choir ensemble, Dithyrambic Singers, mainly formed by professional musicians and talented music students.
In 2007, Mr. Brandon’s acceptance at the University of South Carolina (USC) majoring in music performance granted him an opportunity to learn not only classical but jazz music as well. Within only two years, he managed to achieve a bachelor’s degree. In the meantime, his approach to singing was reshaped. From traditionally trained tenor to the contrasting contemporary singer, his technique of pop singing was cast extensively in different styles, ranging from blues, R&B to pop, pop-rock.
Upon returning from the United States, Mr. Brandon has been actively teaching contemporary singing in UCSI and MIA and occasionally performing for private functions.
